Happy Birthday Ady!

On Sunday Ady turned 4!!  She is such a big girl now.  She has grown up so much in the last few months.  I am so lucky to have such a sweet little friend to spend my days with.  She loves to play dress up, do puzzles, make up dances, sing songs to her dolls, and play pretend.  She draws pictures of her friends and family and tries to write their names on them.  She loves to write in her journal.  She is brings so much love to our family.  Happy Birthday Ady!!

On Sunday we celebrated with a My Little Pony cake at home with just us.  She opened her presents from us and the ones her Morgan Grandparents had sent.  During the week before her birthday she also got some birthday cards from Nana and Papaw Garrison, Grandma Tudie Aunt Debbie and the Primary at church.

Grandma and Grandpa Morgan sent her some pink Legos and a Princess Puzzle book.  When she opened the Legos her voiced reached a decibel level beyond human hearing.  She was so excited and loved building things with them all week.  She made Daddy make every house and girl in the instruction book and has had a blast playing with them.  The boys got her a Polly Pocket swimming set that she loves as well.  The doll's hair changes color in water.  Kyler wishes they made action figures that do cool things like the Pollys do. :)

Here are some pictures.

Camping

The boys have been wanting to go camping all summer, but we never had an opportunity, so last weekend Dave decided it might be our last chance this year.  We decided on a whim to go down to my sister's house and camp there.  They live out in the woods and have a nice setting along with the added perk of indoor plumbing nearby and an indoor bed for us girls. :)  We didn't know that they had gotten a 4-wheeler!  We had a really great time taking turns riding it.  Thanks guys for letting us come stay at Camp W.!!

Ady looked so cute in the helmet!

Ady with Aunt Cara

I didn't get any good pictures of the campfire or the fun we had.  The time of night is hard to get good pictures.  Too light for the flash, but too dark without it.  We had so much fun, though!  The next day they had some things to do and so did we, so we packed up nice and early.  We were able to make it to my niece's basketball game.  Good job Sydney!!  Then we went out to lunch with my Grandma and my Aunt for my Grandma's birthday.  Happy Birthday Grandma Tudie!  We love you :)

Waiting for Daddy

A few weeks ago Dave had to work late.  So we decided to go up to the campus and take some pictures while we waited for him.  The kids had a fun time running around in the Arboritum and posing for pictures.  Here are some of my favorites.

Ady is Growing Up So Fast!

Last week Ady went to a Birthday Party for her friend Macie and had a wonderful time.  (I borrowed this picture from the party off of Macie's family's Blog) It was a Princess Tea Party.  They all dressed in their princess dresses and had a cute little Tea Party and Danced to a Princess Dance DVD. It was really cute!  All these sweet little friends of Ady's are getting so big!!  I can't believe they are all turning 4!

At the party Macie's mom showed us how Macie is now writing her name.  I hadn't tried with Ady in a while, but the last time we had she wouldn't even try to write letters, just scribble then say that the scribble was her name.  It frustrated her, so I didn't push her too hard.  The night after the party we tried again to get her to write her name and she did it on the first try!  Now she is writing it everywhere!  She was excited to be able to write it at church, since her teacher always spells it wrong.

Sometimes it seems like they just grow up over night!  Ady has matured a lot in the last few months.  She is more independent and she is accepting my answer more when I have to say no to her.  She is doing a great job picking up after herself.  She is even wearing big girl underwear and staying dry all night!  A few months ago I thought we would never get to this point.  She has been such a stubborn little cutey, but lately she is so much easier.  I love having her home with me all day.  I am glad we have a few more years to enjoy each other before she is off to Kindergarten!!
