I just joking

Ady with a Care Bear

While I was in the shower today, Ady was sitting in the bathroom reading her Wild Animal Baby magazines and she was getting it almost word for word. I said "Ady you are such a good reader!!" I knew that she just had it memorized, but her storytelling was wonderful and she was so intent on getting it just right. She looked up at me and said "Mommy! I just joking! I can't read! I was just pretending!" I laughed and said, "Well you sure are good at telling me stories!!" A few minutes later when I was out of the shower she showed me a picture in her magazine of a penguin. Then she told me that penguins are birds, but they are silly birds that can't fly! Later after I was all dressed and heading down the stairs she was doing a cute little dance and singing to herself and I said "Ady you are such a good dancer" and she said "Thanks mommy!! Its my penguin dance!! I have been working on it and practicing!" And she continued to "work on it" and "practice" throughout the day and then when the boys got home she showed them her dance and had them join in.

She is so fun!! I am so lucky to have such a sweet little friend to hang out with all day long.

Its All About Me

My friend Suzanne tagged me to do this survey.

I was at BYU dirt poor and "donating' plasma for money. Luckily my Aunt Debbie and my Grandma Garrison took mercy on me and sent me a check every month too. I also had a very nice boyfriend that semester that bought groceries for us to cook together. It was a difficult semester in that regard, but it was a lot of fun.

5 Things on my to do list today were:

I worked last night, so the only thing on my list today was to sleep :) I was able to get some sleep before Ady woke up and she ended up sleeping in until 9, so that was lovely. Now Ady and I are just having a nice day together.

Snacks I enjoy----

1. Homemade Eggrolls!!
2. Spinach and Artichoke Dip

3. Diet Dr. Pepper

4. Chocolate in its many forms

5. Freshly baked cookies

Things I would do if I were suddenly a Billionaire:

The usual, boring stuff like pay off debt, build the perfect house on the perfect lot, finish school, newer cars, College funds for the kids, and set up a savings and live off the interest. I would love it if Dave could be "retired" already and we could spend more of our time together, unlike a lot of people, we dont get tired of each other - I know that might sound cheesy. He would love to be able to get a graduate degree and either write or be a professor, so maybe he could do that.

3 of my bad habits---

1. Getting frustrated at the kids. (ditto)

2. Drinking too much DP. (ditto - except my DP is Dr. P)
3. Getting engrossed in this and not being as aware as I need to be of whats going on around me.

Jobs I've had:

Babysitter

Food Service Worker at a hospital
Cook

Scheduler

Physical Therapy Aide

Occupational Therapy Aide

Receptionist

Office Manager

Sales Administrator

Accounts Payable Representative

Security

Realtor's Assistant

Cashier

5 Things people don't know about me----
1. I love to watch tv. I watch too many shows, and the writers strike was particularly hard for me. (ditto here again)

2. I love to chat with my friends online

3. I am a perfectionist, If I cant do it perfectly I dont want to do it at all resulting in anxiety attacks

4. I am a junk food Junky! I love to eat candy! But I am also the other extreme, if we could afford it we would almost exclusively eat organic and unprocessed foods. Almost though, It would be hard to give up chocolate completely, but I definitely enjoy organic chocolate ;)

5. I guess I am an open book, I cant think of a number 5

And now my turn to tagEmma, Kris, Cara (email it to me), Stephanie

My Valentine

My Valentine

Yesterday Dave came home from work with flowers for me.  He went to the Flower shop and hand selected each stem and then came home and arranged them himself.  His mom taught him well :)

I am very lucky to have such a wonderful person to share my life with.

Speaking of Dave's mom, today is her birthday.  Happy Birthday Lynne!!!  You are a wonderful Mother-in-law, Grandmother, and Mother! We miss you!

And Happy Birthday (yesterday) to Dave's sister, Mary Kay.  You are a fantastic Aunt and Sister(/in-law) and we wish we were closer to celebrate with you.

Bye Bye Curls

 Bye Bye Curls

Ady had her first Haircut this week.  It was getting so long and looked beautiful, but she doesnt like to wear it up  and it always got in her way.  One morning it was particularly snarly, so I jokingly said to Ady, "Why don't we just cut it so it won't get so snarly?" and she said "OK!" and asked if she was sure and she gave a big grin and said "Let's cut it!"  She was very patient and let me do it without any complaints.  I was the one cutting and no one else was home, so regrettably I didnt get any pictures of the actual process, but I did save some of the baby curls for her scrapbook.

Now her hair isnt curly anymore.  It isn't flat straight, either, but it doesnt have those nice ringlets that it used to have.  It falls nicely though, so I am happy with it.  As soon as we were done I thought she looked like a friend of Kyler's, Hadyn, and as soon as Kyler got home from school he said "You look like Hadyn now, Ady!" That's ok though, because Hadyn is a very cute girl. :)

When I let Ady look in the mirror after it was all done she gasped and then smiled really big and said "I look like an even BIGGER girl now!!!"

(These pictures aren't the greatest.  She has been sick and her eyes look so tired!)

Bloomin' Bags

image298.jpg
A friend of mine who used to live here has just launched her own website to sell her handmade bags.
She was always sewing such super cute things for people ( I have a few baby blankets that she made for Tayden and Ady) and is very talented. Take a look!

Fever

We all seem to be fighting something. Everyone (even Dave this time) has been having a fever on and off for a couple of weeks, and only a few other symptoms.  Luckily Kyler's has only been low and only a day or less at a time, so he has still been able to go to school everyday and keep his Perfect attendance record.  (He is very proud of that.  He has never missed at all - this year or last year)  Tayden on the other hand misses alot.  I knew he would.  He is our sick one.  Anytime any of us get sick, Tayden gets it a lot worse and it lasts a lot longer for him.  His fever is a lot lower today, so he should be able to go to school tomorrow.

When I called the school yesterday they said, wow its going around!  They said a lot of parents were calling about sick kids yesterday.  Some other families that we know at church who are in our school district have also been sick at the same times as us.

I enjoy having Tayden home, so it hasn't been too bad.  And of course he is so "good" at being sick.  He doesn't complain all that much and just deals with it.  If it were Kyler there would be a lot of whining.  Sad but true.  Tayden is just used to it, I suppose.  Ady has enjoyed having him around too.  But we can't keep him home all the time just because we like it! :( He has to go back to school tomorrow!
